Recipe: Chocolate Chickpea Brownies

Who knew legumes in dessert could be so scrumptious?

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Salt, (1/4 ts)
  • Vanilla extract (1 ts)
  • Cocoa powder (4 tbs)
  • Baking soda (1/4 ts)
  • Oat flour (1/3)
  • Coconut oil (3 tbs)
  • Chickpeas (1 can)
  • Milk (3 tbs)
  • Baking powder (1 ts)
  • Honey (1/2 cup)
  • Chocolate chips (1/2 cup)

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

  • Preheat your oven to 165°C (330°F). Line a 20-cm (8-inch) pan with parchment paper.
  • Drain and rinse the beans very well.
  • Process every ingredient except the chocolate chips until completely smooth. Pour into the prepared pan. On top, sprinkle sugar-free chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 14 minutes and chill without taking them out of the pan until firm.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 14 minutes

Chilling time: 10 minutes

Serving: 12 brownies
